My Testicular Cancer Blog
This page is dedicated to my post about my journey with testicular cancer
The past couple days have been very tough in regards to nausea and vomiting. I have not been able to keep anything down even with scheduling my medications on time which are ondansetron (Zofran) and prochlorperazine (Compazine). Today the ER doc decided to give me ondansetron IV and methylprednisolone (Solu-Medrol) as well as a liter of normal saline. I am feeling much better and have since ate soup and 2 bottles of gatorade. One last thing to report is that when I showered that I had started losing some armpit hair and hair on the side of my head. I'll take pictures later to show the progress of hair loss. As always, have a great day and I will report back tomorrow after my last dose of Bleomycin.

Today I had my second to last dose of Bleomycin and requested my PIC line out. The reason for this was that my right arm was feeling very sore and I thought taking out the PIC line was the better choice. So far this weekend has been tough with nausea and vomitting, but I am getting through.
Last week I had a PICC line put in my arm, so the chemotherapy IV drugs could be given to me easier. They said I could put wrap around my arm to keep it dry and use tape, however the sock inside the wrap was wet during both attempts. Therefore, I recommend the device I got on amazon called the limbo protector for PICC lines. Both days I have gone in for chemo, I have not felt to nauseous as I have been heavily medicated with Emend, zofran and comprazine. It takes about 8 hours to finish a day. I do not feel to different so far, but I wake up at 12 midnight in order to take an extra dose of zofran to make sure I don't feel nauseous. Anyways, I'll keep you guys updated and as always have a great day!!!
